klpac open day '09
free all-day arts festival this Sunday

date & time: 18 Jan, 10am - 5pm (9.30am kick off by lion dance troupe Bob Catz!)
venue: the kuala lumpur performing arts centre (klpac)
tickets: none needed - FREE ENTRY!

The entire klpac team has been working round the clock to bring you a BIGGER & BETTER open day this year and what a line up we've gotten together for you.

klpac open day '09 (this sunday!) is going to be massive -  we're looking at one whole day packed with over 100 arts-related activities and 300 plus artistes... best of all, it won't burn a hole in your pocket 'cos all the performances & activities are free of charge!

A BIG SHOUT OUT TO ALL YOU klpac VIRGINS OUT THERE!
Yes, all of you who haven't been to THE KUALA LUMPUR PERFORMING ARTS CENTRE (klpac) before!

No more excuses. Our Open Day is absolutely free and don't worry if you can't find the right 'kaki' to go with you ... with all the activities lined up, you'll move faster alone. Who knows? You might even meet some new friends along the way.

It's perfect for first-timers. Just imagine klpac open day to be a giant buffet spread of bite-sized arts activities. We've got performances, visual art installations, theatre & cultural games, arts workshops, script readings, show previews, film screenings and, of course, our ever popular guided tours! And if that's not enough to keep you occupied, we've got a flea market with 70 over stalls selling all kinds of interesting goodies & great finds.

So, do keep your Sunday free. Come, check out your local arts centre & see what it has to offer, meet artistes, asks questions, participate, discover... you don't want to miss (what we believe will be) the biggest arts festival of the year!

PS: foodies - there'll be hawker stalls selling rojak, roti, mee goreng, kacang putih, burger, fried kuey teow / meehoon, briyani, dhalca, mutton masala, cotton candy, popcorn...
