CPPS’ Online Journal, The Entrepot, is organising a Malaysia Day Essay Competition. The three (3) best essays will be selected for publication in the CPPS website on 16th September 2008.
Henceforth, the journal will aim at publishing its next edition in early 2009.
Guidelines for Malaysia Day Essay Competition:
1) Each contributing essay must contribute to the current theme and to existing discussions in the public sphere.
2) The length of the contributing essay should be around 2000 words in length.
3) The contributing essay should focus on the theme of "The Future of Race Relations in Malaysia Post 2008" but actual essay titles may change.
4) The contributing essay must not have been previously published, although contributors are allowed to rework already published articles/books.
5) Contributors must formally agree that the Centre for Public Policy Studies (CPPS) will retain all copyrights to the essay/article, unless prior negotiations are made.
6) All essays must be submitted no later than 12th September 2008
7) Young writers are defined as writers who have not been published and who do not surpass the age limit of 25 years.
8) All contributing essays are to be submitted via email to khairiah@cpps.org.my
