Air Asia Conquering Singapore?

Finally....Finally... Air Asia is finally allowed to fly into Singapore Changi Airport. That is definitely a breakthrough for the 6-year-old airline, which has been trying so hard to break into the target of Changi Airport.

I am sure it would be great news for travellers, especially budget travellers. It would be great for business travelers too, since some of those seats at MAS and SIA would be freed up by those who choose to take Air Asia or Tiger Airways.

Great news for our country!

airasia will definitely be boasting cheaper airfares. but... how cheap? a MAS KL-Sg return fare is about RM800 if i'm not mistaken.. i bet it's not gonna be too much of a cheap from airasia either.. *shrugs* but i'm hopeful.. lol~

Guess even if it cuts by half, it would be significant already. Currently, even if you have RM800+, you hardly can get flight on Sunday evening, Monday morning, Friday etc. So, these additional 4 round trips (2 by Air Asia and 2 by Tiger) would add total flights from 13 to 17. That's an additional 30% of seats. It would be quite significant.

wah! THAT popular ah? read that the fares would be some 30% lower than that of SIA or MAS.. i hope they can make it lower, since u said that it's quite a popular route.. n express buses nowadays, i'll just say i cant trust my life with them althought it'll definitely be a lot cheaper..

It would eventually depend on supply and demand. if a lot of customers are trying to take it, the discount margin would not be much.

After all, Air Asia is a company, which is also trying to increase on profitability, right? That's definitely the main reason they are in business, right?
