IF you have been toying with the idea of studying in Italy, this may be just the chance you are looking for.
The Italian Government has officially opened its scholarship programme for Malaysian citizens for the academic year 2008-2009.
The scholarships, which aim to promote cooperation between the two countries, are available for courses of various duration – from short courses lasting a minimum of three months to long-term courses of up to 12 months.
Those interested can apply for undergraduate and postgraduate courses, specialisation or research programmes as well as courses in the Italian language, culture, arts, music, cinema and restoration.
All applicants must have some knowledge of the Italian language, except those applying for language courses. The scholarships are valid from Oct 1 to Sept 30 next year.
Candidates will be selected by an Italian-Malaysian joint committee.
The deadline for submission of applications is 1pm on May 9.
Application forms can be collected from the Italian Embassy at 99, Jalan U Thant, Kuala Lumpur, from Mondays to Fridays, between 9.30am and 1pm.
Forms can also be downloaded from the website, www.ambkualalumpur.esteri.it.
For details, call 03-4256 5122, or fax 03-4257 3199, or e-mail: culturale.kualalumpur@esteri.it or culturale1.kualalumpur@esteri.it.

Would encourage any of my blog readers to share with me any event that you come across. As long as the event/activity/initiative is education/charity/youth oriented and is not-for-profit, I would be more than happy to post it to share!
