Position: Staff Software Architect (req 549985 in www.intel.com/jobs )
Location: Intel Penang (Penang Design Center)
Business Group: Digital Enterprise Group

Job description:
In this position, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Participating in defining software requirement and plan for software releases
- Leading a team of software engineers to develop software solutions per release plan
- Liaising with various senior staff, particularly, CTO and Senior Software Architect, to define software and system architecture for current and future, products and platforms
- Working with internal and external customers on requirement, and define solutions for customers
- Driving for a sound software engineering infrastructure and re-use current internal process

Requirements:
- Highly experienced in delivering multiple large-scale embedded software solutions using sound software engineering process
- Very familiar with various software tools, e.g. ClearQuest, ClearCase, Klockwork7, Parasoft, Crystal Report, Microsoft Visual Studio
- Very strong background in Linux and Windows development environment (especially PCI drivers development in Video streaming application)
- Strong background in C/C++ and/or assembly programming
- At least 10 years of working in similar projects per above job requirements
- Strong background in Image Processing and knowledge in DSP
- BSc/MSc/PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering

Position: Operational Modelling Engineer (req 547728 in www.intel.com/jobs)
Location: Penang
Level: 3-6 years’ experience

Responsibilities:
In this position, you will be responsible to apply quantitative methods (discrete event simulation modeling and mathematical optimization) to improve manufacturing operational and capital productivity in Intel's manufacturing network. Your responsibilities will include working with Intel's Assembly Test Manufacturing sites, development groups, and other centralized engineering groups to provide quantitative analysis for equipment and factory levels productivity improvement and capital savings. Examples include analysis of equipment and factory capacity and output, reliability, and WIP management policies to support manufacturing agility and cost reduction efforts.

Requirements:
You should possess a Master of Science degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or Decision Science. Additional qualifications include:
- Excellent teamwork, influencing, interpersonal, analysis, and presentation skills
- Ability to work within varying levels of customer management and decision bodies
- Ability to travel
- Experience with AutoMod and AutoSched AP or similar simulation software
- Knowledge in ILOG OPL Studio, Excel Solver, VB.NET, and database programming would be an added advantage
