Lifelong Learning - Reading Club

Calling all fellow Malaysians who are interested to learn from public lecture, as part of Lifelong Learning initaitives.

In conjunction with the World Book Day, MCA Lifelong Learning Reading Club will organise Blue Ocean Strategy (Malaysian version) - Success Stories of Malaysian Business on April 26 at 2pm at Wisma MCA (12th Floor), Jalan Ampang.

Quek Ngee Meng, the Director of MCA Lifelong Learning stresses that the objective of organising this talk is to encourage public to acquire knowledge through reading and experience sharing. Therefore, this talk will focus on experience sharing of real business world where the founder cum Managing Director of Stemlife, Sharon Low and Senior Marketing Manager of Spritzer Group, Kenny Lim will share their experience and the Blue Ocean Strategy of the companies.

Both companies, Stemlife and Spritzer have achieved remarkable performance in the past few years in which they have successfully marketed their products outside Malaysia and innovated new products. Stemlife has won the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 Asia Pacific Award 2005 and ranks number one in the South East Asian region for cord blood stem cell storage and transplantation. Spritzer Group is the winner of Reader's Digest TrustedBrand (Platinum Winner) for 1999-2007.

In addition, Dr Dominic Lau, Associate Professor of BATC of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia will analyse on the case study and how these business applicable to the concept of Blue Ocean Strategy. Dr Lau is also the author of the book entitled Blue Ocean Strategy (Malaysian version) - 15 Success Stories of Malaysian Enterprises. He will also introduce the analytical tools and framework of Blue Ocean Strategy which will help the participants to understand the essence of Blue Ocean Strategy.
