The Canticle Singers - Memory of Markus Ng

Got an email this morning from HK Chong, Founder & Music Director of The Canticle Singers.

They will be having performance on 30th and 31st May at Universiti of Malaya. Within their repertoire, one of the numbers will be dedicated to the life and memory of Markus Ng. Markus's parents would be present at the performance on 31st May 2009.

Would like to seek the help of those of you who know Markus, to locate a well-composed and high resolution colour picture of Markus with his guitar. If you have the photo, do let me know, and I will put you in touch with HK Chong. Please kindly help to spread the words to those others who might have the photo.

If you are able to make it to the performance and are willing to support it, do get your ticket at AXCESS Ticketing.

Thanks for your help and support.

BE OUR GUEST will be staged on Sat 30 and Sun 31 May 2009 at 8.30pm each evening at Auditorium Perdanasiswa, University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur.

BE OUR GUEST is a feast of lush choral music and other vocal selections selected from the realm of pop, jazz, folk rock, gospel and Broadway. Spend an evening with us, enjoying selections such as The Winner Takes It All from Mamma Mia, Nella Fantasia from the epic movie The Mission, Baba Yetu from Civilization IV, Ralph McTell's Streets of London, Wind Beneath My Wings from the film Beaches, a West Side Story duo, a medley of Rodgers and Hammerstein Broadway hits from The King and I, South Pacific, Oklahoma, Carousel, etc., a Sweeney Todd suite and our very own favourites.

Our chorale of 19 singers and guest soloist Tan Wei Han, Tenor; will captivate you with an exclusive collection of harmonies and melodies. Journey with us, with music from the 1950's to the present day and you will rediscover songs and tunes that you hummed and grew up with and discover new ones along the way; all selected from award winning independent music releases, film and stage productions.
