SEALnet Project Thailand 09

This is an initiative done by a friend of mine, Mei Yueh from Stanford University. it is great to see so many of our young Malaysians are involved in such kind of initiatives. Hope that you can make a difference by supporting their causes.

----
Dear friends,

Please take a few minutes to read this e-mail.

This summer, I'll be working with a team of college students planning for a service project on active learning in Tesabaan 5 Jr. High School in Lampang, Thailand. We hope to increase learning motivation and solve the rote-memorization learning problem through 3 main components: active classes, leadership, and library renovation. We will equip students not only with active learning and critical-thinking skills, but empower them to be future community leaders in solving community issues. Tesabaan 5 is a municipal school that serves as a pilot school illustrating the success of active learning with our project.

I'm sure you can relate to this similar problem as our education system in Malaysia is mainly based on rote learning which creates a dull learning atmosphere and restricts our critical thinking. That is why I need your support for this project. Any donation from as little as $10 will make a great difference in these students' future.

To make this life-changing impact on these students, you can donate through here (e.g. check or credit card). For more information about our project, SEALnet Project Thailand 09, click here. Of course, you're more than welcome to e-mail me if you have any questions about the project or how to donate.

When donating:
1) Please put Project Thailand as the Donation Target.
After donating:
2) Please e-mail me about the amount you donated so that I can keep track of the amount raised for the project.

Thank you very much for making a difference in the kids' lives! =)

I REALLY APPRECIATE YOUR HELP!

Sincerely,
Mei Yueh
