Racial Integration

Malaysia has achieved its independence for 50 years and we are now moving into the 2nd 50-year phase. The question is are we getting more and more united? or more and more separated?

I would say that every Malaysian would agree, whether publicly or deep down their hearts that if all of us are united, Malaysia would definitely grow much better and it would become an even better country to live in.

The question is are we moving forward? Are we moving backward? The current discussion, especially in cyberspace has been ongoing for several years, especially with all those emotional write-ups by many people, be it bloggers, columnists, forum respondents etc.

What would all those bring us to? Would we become a more united nation? Would Malaysians close rank?

Just imagine, how strong we are, if we could leverage on the strength of all our races. Just take the 3 main races (without forgeting all the other races), Malays, Chinese and Indians, it is enough for us to tap the close to 3 Billion Asian populations. China and India itself has more than 2 Billion population in total. Indonesia, Brunei, Middle East countries would add up to quite a large number of populations and we add up all those countries/regions/areas like Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong etc, we should be in the forefront with what we have.

Malaysia is one of the very few countries in the world, where anyone can set up a firm, which would provide ready trained workforce, who would be able to leverage towards the greater Asia.

I would like to encourage all readers to really do something to enhance our racial integration for our country. There lies a day, when we will all introduce ourselves as Malaysians.

Selamat Hari Deepavali!
