Cartisans SAT workshop in August

Received this email from Christine (Cartisans) on SAT Workshop that is conducted by her. If you are interested, do contact me, and I can link you with her for further information.

Hi Chen Chow,

I am enclosing some information about our SAT workshop in August, if you think it might be useful information for some of the people attending your workshop. At least it's an option for those who need more guidance because not everyone is good at self-studying, and we're half the price of other prep provider.

We had some good results from our April workshop. Five of them took the May SAT and improved 342 points on average. The 13 students who took May, June or both improved 318 points on average. I thought it was fantastic considering that all the students were simultaneously preparing for AS exams or end-of-term exams. A few more are postponing till October because they couldn't juggle both, so I expect the final average improvement to be even better.

The information is as follows:

Dates: Saturdays, August 8, 15*, 22, 29
(*I know the 15th clashes with your follow-up workshop but we're planning to move it to a date that works for everyone because one of the students is not available that weekend)
Time: 8.30am - 5pm for August 8 & 29, 9am - 5pm for August 15 & 22
Venue: Sky Terrace, Mont Kiara Bayu, Jalan Kiara 2

There will also be two refresher workshops from 9am to noon on Saturdays, September 12 and 26 at either Mont Kiara Bayu or Cititel Mid-Valley (location to be confirmed).

We encourage students to sign up early for two reasons:
1) The book list will be released only upon full payment, and one of the books is cheapest on Amazon if they allow for one month shipping time (the book is not available locally).
2) The earlier preparation is started, the better the chance of improving the Critical Reading score, which is the main weakness of students in Malaysia. Upon confirmation of payment, work will be assigned for the entire duration before the workshop starts.

Interested students can either email or call me. Thanks and have fun with your workshop!

Warm regards,
Christine
