2009-2010 International Scholarships for Malaysian Freshman, South China University of Technology (SCUT)

This scholarship scheme is set up by the School of International Education, South China University of Technology (SCUT) for Malaysian Freshman. The purpose of the scheme is to encourage the excellent Malaysian students to study at SCUT.


2 full scholarships (full exemption from one year tuition), 2 half scholarships (half exemption from one year tuition), and 4 partial scholarships (20% exemption from one year tuition) will be provided every academic year during 2008 to 2010.

This scheme sponsors Malaysian Freshman to study in both degree courses and language courses at SCUT for the first academic year, students will need to sponsor themselves, or apply for other scholarship from the second year of study.

Are you eligible?

1. Applicants must be a citizen of Malaysia.
2. Applicants must be high school graduates or undergraduates under the age of 30.
3. Applicants must fulfill SCUT's entry requirement.

Fill out the application form.

Application for scholarship can be submitted together with application for admission. Applicants should state clearly on the application form that what kind of scholarship you are applying for, and provide as much documents as you can to prove that you are eligible for the scholarship.

When should you apply for the scholarship?
From 1st October to 31st May every year.

Approval and Notification

1. SCUT will complete the admission procedures and inform you of your application result by end of July.
2. SCUT will send you the Admission Notice and Visa Application Form for Study in China (JW202) as soon as all admission procedures have been completed。
